I have been reading Isaiah for the past few days now and even though I am moving through the book a couple chapters a day I have been transfixed on the fifth chapter which talks about God's people being like a vineyard. Tonight during worship I thought about how God was betrayed in the garden by Adam and Eve and then how Jesus was also betrayed in the garden. Then, when Jesus comes back from the dead Mary sees Jesus but mistakes him for the gardener. I think it's so amazing that God would use this theme throughout the entire bible. It's like a romance that has been so expertly crafted.
